Fidel Ruiz-Healy und Tyler Walker liefern uns hier einen unglaublichen Short mit dem inhaltlichen Charme alter Grindhouse-B-Movies, nicht umsonst haben sie den Publikumspreis beim diesjährigen SXSW Festival gewinnen koennen und ich finds richtig jut:

„Disaffected, young gas-station clerk Maya doesn’t care about much besides messing with her manager and getting her beer discount at the end of the midnight shift. But after a sinister race of mind-controlling parasites are set loose by irresponsible oil drillers, Maya realizes that there might be more to life than spending all your waking hours stacking shelves for a corporate overlord.“

Oder wie es ein Kommentator treffend ausdrueckt:

Unglaublich starkes Teil im Genre des Absurdismus von Vedran Rupic, erst lachte ich, dann weinte ich…weil es mich wirklich tief im Inneren beruehrt:

In den schweren Zeiten hab ich euch ein Game von Finn Truong mitgebracht, ich glaube das passt ganz gut aktuell:

Heute hab ich euch nochmal was von Jorn Leeuwerink mitgebracht. Der Short ist zwar schon ein wenig aelter, aber wie ich denke aktueller denn je, nicht umsonst hat er damit 14 Awards and 87+ Festival Selections abgeraeumt:

Heute hab ich was Heftiges von Jorn Leeuwerink fuer euch mit bei, lass euch nicht von der gar putzigen Aufmachung taeuschen, das Ding ist extrem bitter auf der Metaebene:

Ganz starker Dreiminueter von Daniel Damanti & Humberto Besa, besser kann man es eigentlich nicht machen:

Filmemacherin Yu Sun hat einen wunderbar sensiblen Kurzfilm am Start, die Technik mit echten Wollfaeden die auf und in Papier gestickt werden war mir neu, ist aber so brilliant umgesetzt und birgt unglaubliches kreatives Potential und tiefe Emotionen, chapeau:

Needles are used to repair damage. Stay is a 5-minute animated film made using hand embroidery on tracing paper, depicting the relationship between a daughter and her absent father. It’s a reminder to spend more time with the people you love even if you are busy.

Irgendwie hat jemand diesen brillanten Short geleakt und einfach hochgeladen noch bevor er der Audience vorgestellt wurde aber immerhin war dieser jenige so fair und hat zumindest den Macher Lachlan Pendragon mit angegeben.
So hoffe ich dass er uns erhalten bleibt, es ist so wunderbar:

Hach wie schoen dass der gute Bart auch an Menschen denkt welche keine mobile Device haben.
